How to keep my painted cabinet doors from chipping?

  • A great way to prevent chipping or to minimize the chipping from getting worse, on the top edge.  or other edge side or bottom of your painted cabinet doors is by slipping on a cabinet door protector.

Chipping and nicks on painted cabinet doors can occur from fingernails digging into the finish just from normal everyday habits of pulling open the door or drawer from the top edge.  Banging items in trash pull-out drawer, for example emptying out the contents of a frying pan into the garbage container. The pan can contact the top edge of the trash drawer thereby inflicting chipping.  The sides and bottoms of a cabinet door can also get dinged or nicked by objects like broom or mop thereby causing chipping in those areas.
